Launch options allow the user to supercede internal settings of the game. This is an effective means to recover from incompatible video settings and well as troubleshooting a wide range of issues. This topic covers setting game launch options from Steam's Library.
Hi all, Posting here to ask if anyone has had a similar experience with a Macbook Pro and un-supported nVidia eGPUs. Setup: - Late 2016 15” Macbook Pro (Radeon Pro 455) - Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box 350 - ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Software: - nVidia driver 287.156 - @yifanlu’s NVIDIAEGPUSUPPORT package (v6), installed as per instructions With this configuration, the eGPU works when hot-plugging after logging in (FileVault enabled), then doing the logout trick. I get good results on an external display (Samsung TV), with 60 fps at 1080p Ultra in Unigine Valley and Heaven benchmarks.
My primary purpose is to test deep learning algorithms prior to deployment, and CUDA tests work well. Only shows 1600 MB/s host to device speed though, which seems low.
Any ideas about this? And then Rocket League. I don’t intend to do any serious gaming but the one game I’d want to work is this one. Unfortunately, it’s unplayable at even the lowest quality settings at 1080p, whereas the Radeon 455 is capable of nearly smooth results at 1680x1050 with the highest quality. I can also run XPlane at a smooth 30 fps with default (high) quality settings.
Has anyone had this same problem with Rocket League? I know I shouldn’t have high hopes but why is Rocket League only performing poorly? Also, testing on Windows is not an option for me, unfortunately.
